Poem, Fear The Lord

Fear the Lord

To fear the Lord is wisdom’s start,
A holy awe within the heart.
Not dread or terror, dark and grim,
But reverence deep, a trust in Him.

The Maker of the earth and skies,
Whose voice commands, whose love never dies.
His power is vast, His mercy sweet,
To fear the Lord is to bow at His feet.

“The fear of the Lord is pure,” they say,
It guides the soul, it lights the way.
It teaches truth, it guards the path,
And turns away from wrathful wrath.

It’s love wrapped in humility,
A call to live righteously.
To trust His word, to seek His face,
And walk in the light of His boundless grace.

Fear not the world, its fleeting gain,
Its hollow joys, its empty fame.
But fear the One who holds the key,
To life eternal, full and free.

To fear the Lord is life’s great prize,
It opens hearts and clears the eyes.
A fountain flowing, pure and true,
With blessings rich for me and you.

So let us stand in awe and praise,
And honor Him through all our days.
The fear of the Lord, a treasure untold,
More precious than silver, greater than gold.
