Poem, A Practicing Christian

A Practicing Christian

I walk a path both bright and steep,
With faith to guide where shadows creep.
The cross I carry, light yet strong,
Its weight reminds to whom I belong.

Each morning breaks with prayer’s start,
A whispered vow from a seeking heart.
To live as Christ, His love to show,
In every step, His will to know.

I stumble, fall, and lose my way,
Yet grace renews me day by day.
Through trials faced and tempests roared,
I cling to Him, my risen Lord.

The Word, my lamp, a steady flame,
Declares His truth, His holy name.
With hands outstretched, I serve, I share,
A beacon of His tender care.

Not perfect, no, but striving still,
To follow Jesus, to do His will.
A practicing Christian, flawed yet free,
Redeemed by grace eternally.
