A devotional on the theme “God’s Righteousness Is Available Through Faith in Jesus”:
God’s Righteousness Through Faith
Scripture
“This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile.” – Romans 3:22
Reflection
We often strive to make ourselves “good enough” before God—through works, effort, or religious duty. Yet the Bible makes it clear: our righteousness is not earned, it is given.
Paul reminds us that God’s righteousness comes apart from the law and is revealed through Jesus Christ. The cross removed the barrier of sin and opened the way for us to be declared righteous—clean, forgiven, accepted—not by what we do, but by what Christ has already done.
This is the heart of the gospel: righteousness is not a reward but a gift. It is received by faith, not human effort. That means no one is too sinful, too broken, or too far gone. Through faith in Jesus, His righteousness is placed upon us, and we stand before God blameless in Christ.
Application
- Rest in Grace: Stop striving to earn God’s love—it is already given in Christ.
- Walk by Faith: Live daily in confidence, knowing you are clothed in Christ’s righteousness.
- Share the Gift: Encourage others who feel unworthy—remind them that righteousness is a gift, not an achievement.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the gift of righteousness through faith in Jesus. Forgive me when I try to rely on my own works. Help me to rest in Christ’s finished work and to live with joy and freedom as one who has been made righteous by Your grace. Amen.
Takeaway: God’s righteousness is not something you achieve—it is something you receive, by faith in Jesus.
