Poems Of Mercy And Grace

Here is a gentle and redemptive poem titled “Forgiving Mercy”, reflecting on the depth of God’s compassion and the grace that meets us in our need:

Forgiving Mercy

Forgiving mercy, soft and kind,
It seeks the broken left behind.
It lifts the head bowed low in shame,
And calls the sinner by their name.

It does not count how far we’ve gone,
But runs to meet us, brings us home.
No list of wrongs, no score to keep—
Just open arms and joy so deep.

Forgiving mercy knows the scars,
The whispered doubts, the prison bars.
And yet it loves — and loves again,
Restoring what was lost by sin.

It bore our guilt, it paid the cost,
It weeps for all that we have lost.
Yet still it speaks in tender tone:
“You’re not condemned. You’re not alone.”

So let this mercy shape your soul,
And make the shattered places whole.
Then share it freely, full and true—
As Christ forgave, so you must too.

A poem titled “Grace to Overcome the World”, inspired by John 16:33 and the empowering strength we receive through Christ:

Grace to Overcome the World

The world may press with fear and weight,
With trials hard and hearts that hate.
Yet in this storm, a light remains—
A grace that holds through all our pains.

Not strength of flesh, nor will alone,
But grace that flows from heaven’s throne.
It lifts the weak, it calms the soul,
It makes the shattered spirit whole.

This grace has walked where we now tread,
It wore a crown, it faced the dread.
It bore the cross, it faced the fight,
And rose again in perfect light.

So when the night seems far too long,
Remember: grace is still your song.
It speaks in silence, walks unseen,
Yet stands where you have never been.

The world may rage, but it won’t win—
For Christ has conquered death and sin.
And in His steps, we rise above—
By grace, by truth, by boundless love.

So do not fear the darkened wave,
This grace is strong, this grace will save.
The world may wound, but it can’t steal
The grace that makes our victory real.
