Am I Alone

Here’s a poem inspired by the theme “Am I Alone?” with references to the Bible:

Am I Alone?

When shadows stretch across the land,
And silence holds me by the hand,
A whisper stirs, a gentle tone,
“Fear not, My child, you’re not alone.”

I gaze at stars that paint the sky,
And wonder, “God, are You nearby?”
In stillness comes a firm reply:
“I’ll never leave; I hear your cry.”

The sparrow flies without a care,
Each lily blooms, so rich, so fair.
If He provides for them their need,
Will He not guide me as I plead?

Though trials press and burdens weigh,
His Word becomes my light, my way.
For as He promised long ago,
“I am with you wherever you go.”

When storms arise and winds grow wild,
I am His own, His chosen child.
In valleys dark, His rod, His staff,
Bring comfort, peace, and hope that lasts.

So, no, I’m not alone this night,
His love surrounds, a constant light.
For God who formed me calls me near,
Forever held—no room for fear.

This poem draws inspiration from verses like Joshua 1:9 (“Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”) and Matthew 6:26-29 (God’s care for sparrows and lilies). It emphasizes His ever-present love and reassurance.
